A scheme for heralded generation of frequency-bin photonic qubits via spontaneous four-wave mixing in a system of coupled microring resonators (photonic molecule) is developed so that the qubit state is fully controlled by the frequency amplitude of the pump field. It is shown that coupling parameters of the photonic molecule can be optimized to provide generation of nearly pure heralded photons. The heralded qubit state does not depend on the microring resonator mode frequency, thereby allowing to take advantage of frequency multiplexing for improving efficiency of quantum information processing.

1. Incoherent photon echo in 7Li Y F4 :167Er3+V. N. Lisin, A. M. Shegeda, V. V. Samartsev, S. L. Korableva
Abstract. The effect of incoherent photon echo is studied experimentally and theoretically in 7LiYF4 :167Er3+ crystal (4F9/2 →4 I15/2 transition), which is considered as promising material for Raman optical quantum memory due to extremely narrow optical transitions. Oscillations of the photon echo intensity vs external static magnetic field are observed. The theory shows that the oscillation period is very sensitive to one of the parameters of the spin Hamiltonian in the excited state, thereby making incoherent photon echo convenient for spectroscopic measurements.

The results of the TREPR study of two orthogonal Bodipy dyads are presented. The observed electron spin polarization (ESP) has been explained on the basis of the SOCT-ISC mechanism when the recombination of the photoinduced CT state populates both triplets, Th and Tv , localized in two subunits, respectively. Due to the difference of the mutual orientations the Th state has dominant Z-population in the molecular frame and the Tv state has dominant X-population. Therefore, TREPR measurements can differentiate the properties of the subunits. The experimental data show that the lowest triplet state in both dyads is localized in the v-subunit although the barrier between two triplets is very small in the case of the complex BB-3.

В настоящее время широко применяется парадигма спинового обмена и его проявлений в ЭПР спектроскопии, которая была сформулирована на ранней стадии развития 50-60 лет тому назад.
Теоретические результаты и их экспериментальные подтверждения принципиально изменили наши представления об этой проблеме. Книга обобщает эти результаты и формулирует новую парадигму спинового обмена.
